• Drop-In Classes continue through most studio breaks with limited closures for holidays.

Class Descriptions

• Basic Ballet: This class delves deeply into the foundations of ballet, including posture and mechanics of the most common movements. It is a good place for newcomers to start, but also for experienced dancers to improve their technique. (class - 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of stretching - please bring a yoga mat/beach towel if you would like to use one)

• Intermediate Ballet: This class is designed for those who are already familiar with ballet basics to practice and continue to grow. (class - 1 hour 15 minutes, includes about 40 minutes of barre followed by center exercises)

• Conditioning: This is a fitness class focusing especially on core strength, foot and ankle strength, and general flexibility. Portions of the class involve sitting or lying on the floor. (Please bring a yoga mat/beach towel if you would like to use one.) This class is offered seasonally. Please contact us if you are interested.

• Pre-pointe/Pointe: This class focuses on pointe exercises and steps. Anyone may take either level of this class in flat shoes in order to strengthen their feet and ankles and improve their balance. Pointe shoes require instructor's permission. Beginning Pointe is for those who are still developing basic strength and technique en pointe; Advanced Pointe is for those who have mastered enough pointe work to be comfortable executing difficult steps in the center.

*Pre-pointe/Pointe classes are Technique Classes which Drop-In Students are also invited to attend. They are part of each Technique Session and become more difficult each week following a progressive syllabus.
